Kindermusik Field Trips

Kindermusik Field Trips are a great idea for community and church parent support groups, day cares, preschools and early elementary classes. Discover the power of music, uncover the joy of learning - have an exciting “Field Trip” to the Kindermusik Studio in Ames!
A Field Trip will last one hour and will include a time of instrument exploration (e.g. large gathering drum, cabassa, guiro, cymbal, kokiriko, temple blocks and more) followed by structured activities that include creative movement, singing, instrument play, dancing, an interactive literature component, musical games with a selection of balls, hoops, scarves, finger puppets etc. Small groups (up to 8 children) may include a musical craft.
An exceptional variety of activities will be selected. If you wish, you may choose from several “themed” units available if it fits with a unit you are studying:

COST
$5 per child (minimum cost $50)
Room set up to look like a Habitat or Country (not Native American) for 4-8 years themed class (eg “igloo and snowflakes” in The Arctic, “Alpine Mountains” in Germany etc) - $30

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Adult Participation
I invite EVERYONE to get involved, no matter what your age!
For children up to age 3, there must be one participating adult with each child.
For children aged 3 and 4, there must be one participating adult for every 6 children.
For children aged 5 and older, there must be one participating adult for every 8 children.
Maximum number of people: 25
Scheduling
One hour Field Trips are scheduled at a time to suit you.
Two weeks notice is appreciated. Field Trips begin and end promptly.

Payment
Payment is due at time of booking. Please make check payable to “Judy Keeling” and mail to “Early Childhood Music of Ames”, 3432 Oakland St, Ames, IA, 50014. (Or pay HALF at time of booking, with the balance due a week before the Field Trip.) Fee is partially refundable if you cancel the Field Trip ($25 cancellation fee is charged)

Afternoon sessions can be extended by 30 minutes with free play in the exciting “Discovery Zone / Kids Gym,” also located within the Ames Racket and Fitness Center, for an extra $1.50 per child (minimum $15)
